2021 Corruption Perceptions Index

To prevent bribery, we need a good understanding of what are the high-risk countries for corruption. Transparency International’s Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) is the most widely used indicator of corruption risk worldwide. It assesses the perception of public sector corruption in 180 countries according to data sources from expert independent institutions.

On 2 February 2022, Transparency International Australia’s CEO and the Bribery Prevention Network Steering Committee Member Serena Lillywhite will launch the 2021 CPI, delivering the results in a webinar followed by a panel discussion with Anita Ramasastry, Member & Past Chair of the UN Working Group on Business & Human Rights and Willem Punt, Anti-bribery & Corruption Leader at ANZ and Bribery Prevention Network Steering Committee Member.

The discussion will explore where Australia sits in the rankings, global corruption hotspots, and what we can do to strengthen our integrity framework. The panelists will also discuss the connection between corruption, democracy and human rights.
