Registration opens for UNCAC Conference of States Parties side events

Posted on September 13, 2023

This December, the United States will host the 10th session of the Conference of the States Parties (COSP) to the UN Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC) in Atlanta. The COSP is the main policymaking body of the UNCAC and will gather the international community to progress global efforts in the prevention of and fight against corruption.

To showcase the expertise and contributions that civil society can make to countering corruption, the US has organised a variety of pre-COSP events to enhance dialogue between State Parties, civil society, academia and other stakeholders. This includes:

  • 4th Anti-Corruption Academic Symposium which will provide an opportunity for academia, young scholars and experts to exchange knowledge, studies and good practices and identify opportunities for collaboration,
  • Young Changemakers Event to celebrate and champion the participation of students and young activists in anti-corruption efforts, and
  • the inaugural Anti-Corruption Civil Society Forum which will showcase the essential role of civil society in the fight against corruption, explore how governments can involve civil society in their implementation of UNCAC commitments, and address obstacles that lie in the way, ahead of the commencement of the COSP.

The Civil Society Forum will be held in hybrid format.

These events are free and open to all interested NGOs, International Organisations, businesses and individuals to attend.

To find out more about these events, and to register by 7 December, please visit the COSP Atlanta website.
