On 29th August, the Bribery Prevention Network hosted International Foreign Bribery Taskforce (IFBT) representatives to discuss the significance of collaborating in combating foreign bribery.
Speakers included representatives from the Australian Federal Police, Serious Fraud Office (NZ), Serious Fraud Office (UK) National Crime Agency (NCA), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the IACCC. They underscored the collective effort required to combat foreign bribery, emphasizing the importance of uplifting by sharing resources, skills, and insights.
Audience members also had the opportunity to hear about the recently published Attorney-General’s Department’s Guidance on Adequate Procedures, and the National Crime Agency (NCA) experiences with the failure to prevent offence and adequate procedures.
Global Perspectives: Insights from the Foreign Bribery Taskforce demonstrated that organisations have a greater impact on combatting bribery and corruption when working collectively.
